- I know this sounds gay as hell, but maybe this thread will help all of us who overthink and get overwhelmed. Maybe just type something positive or silly.I'll start. Breathing air is nice and gets taken for granted. You can't really have an argument over fresh air being bad for you. (this just popped into my head, anything goes...) \n\n

- I like this thread idea. It does sound kind of effeminate, but we need it. Thanks for making it. \n\n Most people on this board are probably from modern, developed countries. Living in a developed country is something I take for granted. I need to appreciate that more even if my life is difficult or depressing in general. \n\n

- This has been one of my copes lately. I could have been somewhere better, but it's far more likely if that I "rerolled" it would be somewhere way worse. I can walk to the library. I get to see mountains every day. I have potable water in my house. I get to poop in a toilet. \n\n

- My relationship with my parents has a lot of problems. They are divorced. One is slightly abusive. But it could be much, much worse. And overall they are supportive and good parents. \n\n

- Appreciate the talents and skills that I do have, instead of comparing myself to others who surpass me in other areas. We all have strengths and weaknesses. We can try to improve ourselves in some things, sure, but it doesn't need to become our main focus.
- I need to focus more on the things that I am naturally inclined towards. Appreciate that I have an aptitude for them and focus on building it. Rather than trying to become something I'm not and feeling bad about it. \n\n

- Thankful that I am healthy and don't have illnesses, especially that I don't have serious ones. \n\n Thankful that I don't have any serious addictions like drugs, alcohol, gambling. I also broke my old porn addiction. I would be considered addicted to the internet, but that's minor in comparison with worse things. \n\n

- Just happy to have a roof over my head and grasping onto the belief that things will get better. Every little bit helps these days. My resolution was to think more positively after all! \n\n

- Thankful for things that I really appreciate. There are songs I love that I will listen to hundreds of times and cherish. Same for movies and some other things. Those things are just so beautiful and well crafted (for me, everyone has their own preferences) that they really lift my spirits. They make me appreciate creativity and the ability to convey feelings. Ever watch, read, or hear something that you want to hold onto forever?
- The same could also apply for life in general (appreciating the beauty of the world and the feelings it gives, appreciating the ability to feel different emotions and connect with people). Or for a hobby.
- Those things make me think about how amazing life can be and how I want to continue life while cherishing these things as much as possible. Of course there are ups and downs in life, but there are moments when these things show me the potential beauty of life that is just waiting to be tapped into/revealed. \n\n

- I'm generally very negative. Movies today suck. Music today sucks. People today suck. But I'm always happy to see that manga is thriving. There's just too much stuff to keep up with and lots of gems out there. Many are rough and lack polish, they aren't perfect but don't need to be. I'm happy to read it. \n\n

- There are still good movies and music being produced. Music more than movies because that is more accessible (sites like Bandcamp, YouTube). I think that you can find new things to like if you search for media similar to what you've already enjoyed. Like going on a music website and searching for a genre that you like. \n\n Anyway, who needs new media when there's so much great older media available. (not implying that you disagree with this) \n\n

- I'm also down a manga rabbit hole. I've been having fun using my library card to browse and read whatever instead of just going for recommendations (mostly because I've exhausted /a/non recs over the years). The low quality of some of the stuff that gets published is funny to me, so even if I don't like it much I enjoy the read. As I get older I realize it's important to engage with bad/mid/popular-but-it-sucks media just to be an informed hater and understand your own standards better (not even saying my standards are "good", just that they are mine).
- >>11 \n\n > >older mediaThe looming threat of AI in creative industries has been the gun to my head to actually start chipping away at my backlog. I also agree with you about accessibility. \n\n

- I've been sticking to my "be more organized" resolution by using my Hobonichi techo each day and just writing down appointments in it and what I did each day... and as a bonus, I'm losing weight, albeit with Zepbound. It's something, so there's that. \n\n

- A planner basically, but you can use it in various ways. On the days page, you can put whatever you're planning to do, or stuff you have done. I mostly put in some goals and stuff I watched, listened to, ate and did that day. \n\n There's lots of videos about Hobonichi Techo on youtube, as it does have a cult following, and there are english editions with inspirational quotes for each 2 days or so, a couple Itoi quotes too as he is the CEO of Hobonichi. It also has other pages to write stuff you've experienced for the year. \n\n It's definitely satisfying to use each day! \n\n
